A two hour live footage show will air on 5* from 7pm to 9pm every day, the first Big Brother series to feature a regular live feed since Channel 5 took over the reigns in 2011.

At the time of axing the live feed, Big Brother producers said: “The aim is to reflect the habits of our audience today and we believe that prioritising social media is the way to get people involved in the show.”

Channel 5 has confirmed that Rylan Clark is to join Emma Willis for the new series of Big Brother’s Bit on the Side following speculation that the X Factor star would take over from Emma full-time. It’s expected that Emma will front the show from Monday-Thursday while Rylan fronts the eviction post-shows on Friday and also takes over the weekend slot following Jamie East and Alice Lavigne’s exits.

Speaking about his new role, Rylan said: “I have followed the show since the very beginning. It was a dream come true to enter the Celebrity Big Brother House this year, let alone win it! Being offered the job to present Big Brother’s Bit On The Side was amazing.”

AJ Odudu will help Rylan with Bit on the Side; she has presented on both TV and radio and is no stranger to Bit On The Side having appeared before as a panelist on the show.

AJ said: “It’s going to be brilliant fun hooking up with Rylan and Emma for Big Brother’s Bit On The Side. I can’t wait to find out who the housemates are and get stuck in.”

Finally, Channel 5 also confirmed the launch of a new spinoff, entitled Big Brother’s Bit on the Psych, where a panel of experts and psychologists will analyse the behaviour of the housemates.

Okay, we’re all Big Brother-ed out! We’ll be posting regular BB updates as we get them; the show is expected to return in early June.

The track produced by Moh Denebi and Björn Djupström, and has been confirmed as the next promotional single from her debut studio album “Heal” that was released on digital retailers on October 22, 2012 via Warner Music; as the track doesn’t feature on her debut, fans are speculating that a repackaged version of Heal is expected within the coming months.

The single is set to be released on iTunes next Wednesday May 15, before the star performs the track during the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 alongside her global hit single “Euphoria”.

After taking over five years away to work on new material, Ruth Lorenzo is back with a her UK debut single The Night, along with plans to release her debut album, The Raspberry Pattern, later this year. JackCrute.com caught up with the star to ask where she’s been and what we can expect!

1. Hey Ruth! Let’s start with an obvious question… What have you been doing since The X Factor?
I have had the opportunity to develop musically, to perform all over Europe, and to take time to enhance my song writing which is a very big part of me as an artist.

2. Did you manage to stay in contact with any of your fellow contestants or judges?
Yes I was able to build amazing friendships. I keep closely in touch with Diana Vickers and Ortise from JLS… and of course Dannii and I are still friends, she has been very supportive.

3. Tell us a little more about your new single, The Night.
I wanted to release something positive, easy to listen to and just a good pop song. I am so full of drama all the time so it feels good to sing something that is epic but also laid back! There are also some great remixes on there as well – I think the Almighty one will go down well in the clubs!

4. What sort of music do you like to listen to?
I like all sorts of music. My favourite band is Muse but I like to listen to anything from the top 10 in the charts to Debussy. ..and as anyone who has been along to the Celebrities on Ice tour will know I am also very partial to a bit of opera and am now singing Nessun Dorma each night of the tour.

5. You’ve penned tracks for the likes of Dannii Minogue and for Spanish TV drama Valientes; do you prefer writing for yourself or others?
All of my songs are about personal experience and I feel a great satisfaction when others put their voices on my words. It’s a different way of expressing yourself through music.

6. You’ve already released a single, Burn, in Spain – what made you make the decision to hold the track from a UK-release?
It wasn’t allowed to be an official UK release, so I took it back to my homeland. I am so happy to be releasing music in the UK now though as this is the place that has seen me “born” as an artist and watched me grow artistically.

7. You parted ways with Virgin and EMI Records in 2010 – why did you make this decision? Has this ultimately slowed down your album and single release?
For me it’s all about the music and the music wasn’t right. Of course it slows down the process when you don’t have millions of pounds behind you – but it’s not impossible to achieve what you want, with a different approach. It hasn’t been easy, but it’s definitely worth it.

8. What’s next for Ruth!? Following the single, when can we expect the album? Have you got any plans for a tour? Spill the beans!
Hopefully I will be on the road very soon. That is my favourite part of music, performing live, so I guess I will see you in venues in the UK – I am playing Pride Nottingham and Bristol this summer which will be brilliant. Regarding the album ….watch this space!!

Following the success of ‘What About Us’, which got to number one in the UK earlier this year, the girls have decided to leave their dance-pop sound and enter the world of urban R&B/Funky/Pop where the girls try their hand at rapping.

American Idol judge Carey premiered the first official single taken from her thirteenth studio album earlier this week. The track was written by Nathan Perez and Brook Davis was exclusively premiered on iHeartRadio on May 6th. The music video directed by Joseph Kahn was premiered on VEVO on May 8th.

Dynasty is determined to win the school chess tournament, to prove she’s not just a pretty face and wipe the smug smile off Kevin’s face but she’s sidewiped when ex-boyfriend, Steve-O, turns up at Waterloo Road. After a stint in prison, he’s going straight and wants to make a fresh start with Dynasty in Liverpool.

Steve-O’s charm offensive works and Dynasty decides to drop out of school. Her friends are shocked but Kevin shows little reaction to the news which hurts Dynasty. Tom tries to make his promising student see sense but she’s resolute – she’s leaving school. That is, until she discovers Steve-O isn’t quite the changed man he claims to be.

And when Dynasty turns her affections towards Kevin, she unwittingly puts the schoolboy in serious danger with a jilted and embittered Steve-O.

Elsewhere, there’s uproar in the staff room after Michael and Lorraine announce the cuts they need to keep the school open leaving Audrey fighting for her future at Waterloo Road.

As Grantly lies in a coma, Lorraine insists that Maggie returns to work – she can’t afford to have two members of staff off indefinitely. But there’s light at the end of the tunnel for a distraught Maggie after Tom makes a life-changing decision.

Running for a whopping fourteen years, Big Brother UK has been it’s ups and downs; Nasty Nick, Nikki Grahame and who can forget the infamous Jade Goody/Shilpa Shetty racism furore? Whether you’re a fan or a hater, one thing’s for certain – Big Brother would be nothing without the voice-over legend that is Marcus Bentley.

We caught up with the man himself to discuss this year’s series and his Big Brother memories.

1. If you weren’t asked to return to Big Brother when it moved to Channel 5, who would you have wanted to replace you?
That would’ve been my biggest nightmare and I’m certainly not going to put any names out there for people to agree with – haha!

2. Who would you say was your favourite ever Big Brother housemate?
Nikki Graham; a funny, fragile diva – a complete one off. She made me laugh and cry. But most importantly, she is really like that.

3. Can you tell us a little more about Big Brother this year? What can fans expect?
Producers have worked tirelessly to find the best housemates available. They’ve searched and searched through auditions, organisations, past applicants and online for gold and I reckon this year they will deliver the best housemates ever. And that is what it’s down to. And some bloody great tasks!

4. What was your reaction to the news Emma Willis was to replace Brian as the main-show host?
I loved working with Brian; he is a very funny man and is very much a part of the Big Brother family. However, I very much respect and understand the decision to replace him with Emma. Emma is quite simply a Star. She has it all; to coin a very popular term – she has the X Factor but she’s the new star of Big Brother.

5. How much input do you have into the script and the production of highlight shows?
After 13 years I’m pretty much a BB expert. I am fortunate to work with very talented producers who trust me for my input and advice. I help with scripting and suggestions every day.

6. Has there ever been a time when a highlights show was almost late in going out because of your voiceover!?
No. We’ve often worked right up to broadcast but this would be due to legal issues and/ or controversial times eg. a housemates behaviour.

7. Another CBB is scheduled for late-summer; who would you love to see enter the famous doors?
In my opinion the Channel 5 Celebs have been amazing and even better than on 4. That’s down to the casting – the Juie Goodyear celeb was my all time favourite. The humour, the bitching, the tears and the fun absolutely made it.

9. Big question: do you prefer Channel 5′s Big Brother or Channel 4′s Big Brother?
Basically, it’s the same production team. However, Channel 5 are little more relaxed about certain issues and I believe this produces a more watchable product!

Come & Get It, written by Ester Dean and produced by Stargate, is the lead single taken from her third studio album, set for release later this year. The single was released on digital retailers on April 7th, 2013, and Gomez then performed the track during the MTV Movie Awards.

Earlier today, Beyoncé premiered her H&M Summer Collection campaign which features new song Standing on the Sun. The track was written by Beyoncé with help from Sia Furler and was produced by Greg Kurstin. The full music video and the song will premiere on May 2nd.

Fresh from a string of US live shows, including a sold out performance at Hollywood’s Viper Room, singer songwriter Scarlette Fever has returned with a free download of “Where’s The Fun?”, which acts as a taster of her brand new material, set for full release later this year.

Concerning the frustrations of life’s more mundane moments, “Where’s The Fun?” is co-written with her guitarist Chris Moorhead, and actually based on a chorus he originally wrote six years ago. As Scarlette explains:

“In a way it’s one of my most sentimental songs, about a time in our lives when we were both in mundane jobs, going out a lot and having to go to work, hung over. Chris was at Tesco’s Headquarters at the time and when you hear the track you’ll know exactly what he thought of that. I knew then and there that I had to help him finish it. Six years later and here we are!”

After almost a year since her “Great Expectations” EP, out last April, “Where’s The Fun?” is part of a stunning new collection of songs set for release this summer, showcasing a more mature, full bodied sound. Other highlights include the epic “Piece Me Back Together”, 6ft Woman (her take on addiction and the lies and manipulation that usually comes with it), and the heart-wrenching ballad “Sunday Best” co-written with Steve Lironi (Bon Jovi).

“It’s the result of a combination of things,” says Scarlette on the new material. “My writing ability has developed, as has my knowledge in production. I’ve also been collaborating more with my band. So the whole process has been much more organic and spontaneous – and creative.”

Cinderella, the lead cut from sophomore Music to Make Boys Cry, will be released July 21st in the UK.

Rhiannon arrives at the schoolhouse barely hiding the fact she’s stayed out all night. She claims she was working at the takeaway with friend Naz. Unimpressed, Maggie heads over to the takeaway but receives short shrift from Naz’s father, Usman – if Rhiannon working there is a problem, she’s fired.

At school, Rhiannon attempts to impress telling Dynasty and Imogen she slept with Naz but is overheard by a furious Maggie. A heated confrontation follows and Maggie reveals she got Rhiannon sacked from her takeaway job.

Seeking revenge, Rhiannon sneaks into Maggie kitchen and steals the spreadsheet for the Waterloo Road catering tender – giving it to Naz, allowing Usman to have the business upperhand.

It’s all too much for Maggie who begins to crack under the pressure. It takes a few wise words from Grantly to make Rhiannon see sense but it could be too little, too late.

Elsewhere, when Audrey’s friend Ndale comes into fix her classroom blinds, Sonya spots an opportunity to hire him as the school’s handyman.

Now living with Michael, Connor is dismayed to learn Imogen won’t be allowed to stay over. Determined to find some way to be alone with his wife, Connor talks to Kevin about buying a car.

Barry overhears their conversation and offers to lend Connor the money for a van. Connor refuses but it’s clear Barry isn’t about to take no for an answer.

Newcomer Fergal is reminded by his mother, Teresa,that Waterloo Road is their last chance. Ignoring her warnings, Fergal heads off to school where Barry catches him taking drugs in the toilets. Seizing an opportunity, Barry coerces Fergal into a dodgy deal, supplying drugs to the school.

Fergal wastes no time in getting to work, offering to sell Harley some pills. A horrified Lula tries to stop him but Harley is sick of being treated like a child and rebels, taking the drugs – with disastrous consequences.

When Fergal’s drug dealing is exposed, Michael invites Teresa to school for a showdown and it’s not long before Nikki unravels their family secret.

Elsewhere, Grantly and Maggie struggle to come to terms with the news that his kidney failure means he’ll need a transplant.

Grantly is determined to keep his condition private from the rest of the school but Maggie can’t hide her true feelings. And when her hopes of donating a kidney to her husband are dashed, Maggie can’t stay quiet any longer.

Michael and the staff are shocked by Lorraine’s announcement she’s appointed Nikki as the new deputy head without consultation. Michael confronts Lorraine but she quickly reminds him it’s her school and she can do what she likes.

Lorraine confides in Nikki that Waterloo Road faces dramatic budget cuts to stay open. Nikki offers her heartfelt support and it appears there’s a growing affection between the two women.
