Ashley Tisdale has officially confirmed she has begun work on her third solo album, tweeting about some studio time.

Just days after confirming that she’ll be taking part in the fifth chapter of the Scary Movie saga, High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale tweeted “In the recording studio….. Recording MUSIC”.

The LP, rumoured to be released early next year following a single premiere before Christmas, will be the third overall studio album from the star, a follow-up to 2009′s Guilty Pleasures.

According to reports, American Toby Gad, who worked with Tisdale on GP will be in charge of the new project.
